Marketing Director. Chase the Sun offered modern web site design and development services as well as iPhone/iPad application development. I was responsible for strategy, marketing communications, and consulting our customers assisting them to use internet more strategically for their marketing communications,sales and business development.
2009 - 30.5.2010 Marshall Creative, Palmerston North, New Zealand
Project Manager. Marshall Creative offers modern web site design and development services of web based business tools. My role was to manage the web development and software projects and consult with our customers.
2008 - 15.5.2009, Unlimited Realities, Palmerston North, New Zealand
Strategic Adviser and Production Manager, Unlimited Realities. I was responsible for process development and my main achievement was completion of process development and document templates for the core processes of Unlimited Realities. I established project management methods and tools for UR and led a team of project managers to manage software development projects.
2006-2007Head of School, Media Design School, Auckland, New Zealand We had over 20 full time tutors and course leaders and several part time tutors. I reported to the CEO of the company and was also member of the management team. My main achievements were re-organising 3D and Game Departments, leading an Intranet building project for the school, and recruiting (61% of the academic staff).
2004-2006 Managing Director, DigitalStudio Tuuletin Ltd, Helsinki, Finland
We created new software packages for content creation and an innovative collaboration tool, TargetWell that is one of the very few on-line collaboration tools for consultants to run workshops efficiently utilising web technologies while running a workshop. I was also responsible for our communications consulting business.
2000-2003 Director of e-learning business unit at Tietoenator Inc. Helsinki, Finland My task at Tieoenator (one of the biggest I.T. service providers in Europe with over 15,000 staff) was to develop and manage our e-learning businesses.
– We developed vendor processes, production models and pedagogical interactive learning solutions for example for Nokia.
– I was involved in all Nokia projects and created the majority of the e-learning concepts for self study materials for them.
– Supervisor and concept creator on a variety of e-learning projects.
1999-2000 Principal Lecturer and the head of Multimedia Department at Lahti Polytechnics Institute of Design, Lahti, Finland Key achievements:
– Re-arranged the curriculum to better reflect industry needs
– Created a new and more media oriented student selection examination which helped us to pick real talents from the applicants more effectively and accurately.
1991-1998 Founder and Director - To The Point Ltd, Helsinki, Finland I founded the first Finnish Digital Communications Design company, To The Point Ltd. in 1991. My key achievements in this role were:
– Supervising producer and designer for dozens of CD-Rom and web projects for corporate and public sector communications
– Successfully worked with dozens of large corporations in Finland, such as Nokia, ABB, Partek to name just a few.
